Introduction to Product Design
Product Design is the practice of identifying and iteratively solving interface problems. As product designers, we work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, UX writers, and UX researchers to devise solutions that respond to user needs while working within technical constraints and toward business goals.
Working end-to-end across the product development cycle, we operate within constraints identified during project inception, synthesizing (often contradictory) stakeholder requirements to ship simple, scalable products and features.
Some projects we've worked on:
- Reimagining ways of listening to audio in The New Yorker's Today App
- Streamlining the editorial process of selecting Verso Content Headers when publishing content in Copilot
- Crafting ways to showcase branded content for our advertising partners across our sites
- Simplifying the onboarding experience for new designers through the creation of core resources and component documentation in Figma
- Launching a commerce hub for Vogue readers to shop the latest editor recommendations
